I"ve received more than 35 invitations like this, phrased almost exactly the same manner. The senders have acted offended and astonished that I did not start to make the most of this invitation. We discovered angel recalde page by browsing Bing.

Let us look at the problems in this invitation from a marketing perspective.

* The vast majority of the invitations I received were from people whose names I didn"t recognize. Why would I wish to be part of their system? The request doesn"t say how I would take advantage of their network and who they"re, who they"ve access to.

* What is Linked-in, how can it work and what"re the advantages of using it? No body has yet explained this clearly within their request. You cannot expect that some one receiving this request understands what you are asking them to join or how it"d be good for them. It would be beneficial to have a passage or two explaining how it works and mentioning a certain effect anyone behind the invitation liked from membership. It might be that people think that since "basic account is free," the conventional recipient of the invitation will proceed and join. But even if it will not cost money, joining would take time. You still need to "sell" people on taking a free activity, specially with respect to an activity or organization that could be new to them.

* Nobody took some time to head off possible misunderstandings or objections for this membership. As a non-member of Linked In, I am worried that joining would open me up to a lot of e-mail and telephone calls that would waste my time and in which I would have no interest. Again, you can not assume that something free is thus enticing; you need to imagine why someone could have questions or dismiss the idea and address those objections.

* Using a processed request that"s almost exactly the same as everybody else"s does not make a good impression. You"d desire to give your own personal stamp to it, even though the writing given by Linked-in were successful, which it is not.

Aside from being irritated that they are obviously encouraging visitors to send announcements that make little sense, I"ve nothing against Linked In. Perhaps it is a helpful business. My position is that its members must use good sense and fundamental marketing axioms to promote busy, cynical people-to give it an opportunity..
